A sporting and cultural event, the Race of the Resistance was born from the desire to recall the historical meaning of the date of 8 May 1945. It also aims to highlight the emblematic places of the Second World War in Isère. This is why, after two editions in the heart of Grenoble, one in Chambaran and one in Trièves, and one in Allevard, the sixth edition of the Course de la Résistance stops on a new territory in Bourgoin Jallieu (the 2020 edition has been cancelled because of the Covid-19).
For the 2021 edition, several formats are available:
- Urban Trail: 8km 120m Positive difference in height
- 33km Trail (alone or relay with 2 people): 33km 500m Positive difference in altitude
- Cycle touring: 40km / 400m Difference in height, 60km / 900m Difference in height, 90km / 1100m Difference in height, 155km / 2000m Difference in height
