This event is regarded as a classic in audax circles and for justifiable reasons. The Kidderminster Killer provides a challenging ride through scenic and rural countryside. It often changes character from rolling pastoral landscape to the starker heather clad fells of the Long Mynd. In places, some of the gradients are quite challenging but riders are soon rewarded with distant views. Controls are located at Acton Scott Farm, Montgomery and Ludlow where good quality cafes can be used for replenishment.
Belbroughton is the start and finish point and is located just to the south of Birmingham and 10 minutes drive from the M5/M42. Food and drink will be available before you start and when you finish along with showers, changing, toilets and car-parking.
As with all audaxes, the Kidderminster Killer is a test of self-reliance. GPX files and route sheets will available to guide your route. Unfortunately, we can help you get up any of the stonking big hills - that is up to your legs!
