International Vladivostok Marathon will start on Saturday, September 28nd, 2019, in Vladivostok (Far East of Russia, Asian part).
About the city
Vladivostok is the authentic city, and you can feel harmonious mix of the East and West here. It is the city on the bank of the Pacific Occean with wonderful hills blown by winds from four sides. Vladivostok represents dozens of pure islands nearby, the warm "wild" sea, tremendous cuisine with abundance of seafood, the nature and interesting architecture. Also, the most beautiful girls live there!
The city is extremely beautiful in September. It is a mellow season, where the average air temperature is 16 C °, humidity is moderate, and there is mainly sunny weather with nice breeze.
For reference: flight time to Vladivostok from Seoul is 1 hour 50 minutes, from Tokyo it is 2 hours 15 minutes, from Beijing it is 2 hours 20 minutes.

The visa is available for 30 days from the moment of its registration with the allowed term of stay no more than 8 days.

About the marathon
It's been only 4 years from now when Vladivostok appeared on the Running Map and it has made good impression. It is not a superb sports event by the standards of world marathons so far, because the number of participants in 2018 has reached 3 500 people. But the wide geography impresses: there are runners from 106 cities of 22 countries among participants. It is not surprising because the marathon in the Far East is considered as an available exotic.
Route of "Bridges of Vladivostok" is difficult, with height differences, but it is interesting. The track is complicated by abundance of hills and wind, but local beauty is worth it. It is not for nothing the race slogan is "The reason to be proud of yourself". Whether you will overcome the first 5 km or legendary 42,2 km, it will be awesome.
Participants run on the Russkiy island, along the wood on the one side and the seas from another, overcome two main bridges of the city, such as the well-known "Russkiy" and "Zolotoy" bridges from which you can see the fascinating view of the city, the sea and hills, and seagulls, which, according to a city legend, sing to runners in a familiar language.
Participants run final kilometres on the main city streets and finish in the heart of the city: in the central square. You will see many interesting things: there are about 300 sights, such as: cultural, historical and natural, that are "scattered" along the route.
Entertaining platforms for runners and fans of marathon will work all day at the central square of Vladivostok, such as: food court zone, massage tents, theme-based little shops, game and musical platforms.
And on the following day after the marathon, the Tiger Day traditionally takes place in Vladivostok. It is a colourful procession around the city which finishes with concert and salute.
Running distances: 5 km / 10 km / 21,1 km / 42,2 km. And there is also 1 km for children.
For participation in marathon it is necessary to be registered on the website asiarunning.ru and to pay the registration fee. The backpack, t-shirt, start number with the built-in chip of timing MyLaps are included into the price. Everyone gets a designer medal on the finish line.
Prize fund of marathon is 1 million rubles.
Each participant of marathon is insured for 100 thousand rubles.
The marathon is controlled by the local security services: police, rescuers and physicians. There will be the bicycle patrol and volunteers throughout all track.
Toilets and food points for runners are duplicated through each 5 kilometres of the route. The diet includes water, isotonics, bananas, dried fruits, chocolate.
There is also a photo finish which means that everyone will get the photo of a happy oneself after the race.
